The School For Good And Evil
🔖 Reviewed by Books For Big Brains
In the mysterious village of Gavaldon, children are kidnapped every four years to attend a legendary school where ordinary boys and girls become fairy tale heroes or villains. Best friends Sophie and Agatha are taken, but things go unexpectedly wrong-Sophie, who dreams of becoming a princess, ends up in the School for Evil, while Agatha, with her gloomy ways, is placed in the School for Good. Or… is that where they truly belong?
This magical tale flips fairy tales upside-down. It makes you question what “good” and “evil” really mean. There’s action, friendship drama, sword fights, and lots of glitter (and slime). The characters grow in surprising ways, and the school setting is full of quirky, enchanted details—like talking wolves and deadly beautifying spells.
🌟 Favourite Moment: When Sophie tries to turn into a fairy-tale princess but ends up summoning cockroaches!
📘 Big Idea: What if the labels “good” and “evil” are just stories we tell ourselves?
This book is best for teens who love plot twists, magical schools, and deep themes like identity and friendship. I’d recommend it for ages 11–14.

(One star off for making me cry a little—but in a good way.)
